Sugar came to Rainbow Connection Farm after being rescued from a kill situation. She was already blind in one eye and had an injured leg that needed rest and care.
Before coming to the farm, Sugar continued to be ridden despite being lame, worsening an injury that her body was already struggling to heal.
Her life looks very different now.
At Rainbow Connection Farm, Sugar was given something simple but important: the chance to stop working and heal.
Her leg has healed, and today Sugar is safe, happy, and free to spend her days simply being a horse. There are no expectations for her to carry anyone or work through pain. Her job now is to enjoy her pasture, her companions, and the life she deserves.
