Rueben may be the smallest chicken at Rainbow Connection Farm, but nobody seems to have told him that.

This little Silkie rooster takes his responsibility for the flock seriously. Rueben helps look after all of our hens, keeping an eye on them and making sure his feathered family stays together.

He doesn't need to be the biggest rooster in the coop to have an important role. Rueben reminds us that being small has nothing to do with how much you can care for others.

Today, he spends his days among the hens he watches over—a tiny, fluffy rooster with a very big job.
