Meet Pumpkin.

Pumpkin is a Kunekune pig who came to Rainbow Connection Farm with his mom after their owner passed away.

Suddenly, the two pigs needed somewhere to go, and butchers were coming to take them. Instead, Pumpkin and his mom were rescued and brought to the farm, where they could stay together and have a safe place to call home.

Pumpkin was also born with a birth defect that affects his feet. He moves through the world a little differently, but here he doesn't have to prove what his body can do.

Today, Pumpkin gets to root, explore, nap, enjoy good food, spend time with his family, and simply be a pig.

Pumpkin's story reminds us that a body that works differently doesn't make a life less valuable.
