Meet Prudence.

Prudence came to Rainbow Connection Farm with her companion, Terrapin, a disabled chicken with severe back problems. For about eight months, the two were together as Terrapin was given a safe place to live and be cared for.

After Terrapin died, Prudence's story at the farm entered a new chapter. As other rescued chickens arrived—and new babies joined the flock—Prudence became their mama hen. She has helped welcome them, watch over them, and make the coop feel like home.
